The Ethical Conversation Design Toolkit
Supriya has conducted an intensive research of the voice industry- specifically focusing on the unintended consequences of usage of autonomous digital voice assistants. Based on the research learnings and insights, she has developed the 'Ethical Conversation Design Toolkit’, a framework that helps practitioners in the voice industry consider ethical issues at strategy and design stages.
Borrowing concepts and learnings from universal philosophies as inspiration for its framework, the Ethical Conversation Design toolkit consists of five main pillars, and approaches dilemmas from the perspective of impacts to human well-being.
Broken down into evocative prompts and actionable triggers, the toolkit allows teams to engage in discussions and dialogue on the future implications of their design decisions, by questioning the intent, purpose, assumptions and biases as creators.
